our longer stay at the lodge was absolutely incredible. the whakatipu room was spacious and had a lovely view of the lake and mountains. the piano in the room was a fun touch, even though it needed a tune-up. the host was incredibly friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. overall, exceeded our expectations!
directions to the lodge were a bit confusing.

Great location with stunning views. The host was super attentive and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen facilities were excellent, allowing us to cook our own meals. The spa bath in the bathroom was a luxurious touch. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surroundings.
Some of the furniture and carpet in the rooms were a bit dated. The utensils in the kitchenette were of poor quality and there was no dining table in the room for meals.

I loved playing darts and billiards in the games room. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax. Free WiFi and a private spa tub in my room were such a treat.
And let's not forget the wonderful smell of dampness in my room. Ah, the sweet aroma of mold.

The view from our room was absolutely jaw-dropping, with stunning scenery that took my breath away. The spacious and uniquely furnished room had a quaint and rustic charm that added to the overall experience. The sofa bed, although not a traditional bed, was surprisingly comfortable, allowing me to let my nieces enjoy the immense comfort of the huge bed. We appreciated the kitchenette and the thoughtful additions such as the hairdryer and iron, which made our stay super convenient. The reception area had a cool pool table and the staff, especially Rodney, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The shower with its temperature gauge was a mind-blowing feature, and despite the property being situated on a hill, it added to the serene and tranquil atmosphere. our stay was beyond expectations and left us wanting more.

I absolutely loved the beautiful decoration of the hotel. The attention to detail in the design and furnishings made me feel like I was staying in a luxurious and elegant home. The cozy sitting areas and comfortable seating allowed me to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The layout and facilities were easy to navigate, and there were no stairs or obstacles that made it difficult for me to get around.
I would have preferred more assistance from the children working there in terms of providing information about local attractions and activities suitable for senior people.

The room at Pencarrow Luxury Lodge was absolutely amazing! The private hot tub and premium bedding made me feel like royalty. I couldn't get over how comfortable everything was, especially after a long day of exploring. The free WiFi was also a great bonus for staying connected.
Personally, I didn't fully enjoy the jetted bathtub in the bathroom. It just wasn't my cup of tea, but I understand that others might find it relaxing.

I recently stayed at a stunning lodge for a romantic weekend getaway. The views of the Lake were breathtaking, and the rooms provided all the comfort we needed, from the spacious bedroom to the cozy TV lounge and ensuite bathroom. The staff at the lodge were exceptionally kind and helpful, even preparing a delicious toasted sandwich for me upon arrival. They also booked a fantastic tour for us and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. The gardens surrounding the premises were lovely, offering a great vantage point to appreciate the beautiful surroundings.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We had a fantastic stay at Pencarrow Lodge. The views were absolutely breathtaking and the property had a unique charm that we loved. The room we stayed in was spacious and beautifully furnished, making us feel right at home. Despite a small issue with moisture in the bathroom, the lodge was clean and well-maintained. The full kitchen facilities were a great convenience, allowing us to cook our own meals. The location was perfect, with easy access to the Battery Hill Bus stop and the beautiful area surrounding Pencarrow Lodge. The lodge manager, Rodman, was friendly and went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. we had a wonderful experience and would recommend Pencarrow Lodge to others.
